Based on the most recent recommendation of our health officials, Friends of Georgia Libraries has postponed its Annual Meeting/Spring Workshop scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2020 at the Athens Library. This event will be rescheduled for a later date and a notice of rescheduling will be sent. We hope that all of our members stay healthy.
– Board of Directors, Friends of Georgia Libraries
As Thanksgiving approaches, I am reminded of all that I have to be thankful for. Many of these blessings I too often take for granted. One of these blessings is my eyesight. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the volunteers who will serve as the initial board of directors for Friends of GLASS – Atlanta, Inc. after this entity is incorporated. I hope you will join me and other members of Friends of Georgia Libraries by donating $10.00 to Friends of GLASS – Atlanta through the Go Fund Me link set out below to help this terrific group pay for a portion of the start-up costs, which will enable this group to get started on their work of supporting and advocating for Georgia Libraries for Accessible Statewide Services.
Thank you for your consideration and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
